Honest News Journal

Editorial policy

Honest News Journal aims to be accurate, independent and clear about the difference between what a report establishes and what remains uncertain. Our standards apply to the wording, presentation and illustrations across the publication.

Accuracy and evidence

We check factual statements against the material available to us and seek to describe sources and claims fairly. We distinguish direct evidence, attributed opinion and our own analysis. If a point cannot be established from the information at hand, we say so rather than dressing uncertainty up as a conclusion.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. A partnership or paid placement does not determine our editorial conclusions. We do not present promotional claims as independent reporting.

Corrections

If we find a factual error, we correct it and make the change clear where appropriate. Readers can send a correction through the Contact page; please identify the passage and explain the issue. We review specific, checkable concerns and update text when the evidence warrants it.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner material is clearly identified as such, separate from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, we label them so readers are not left to mistake an illustrative image for documentary evidence.
